Bodie, CA.
Gold-laced hills, county & states line close by, and a rough reputation make Bodie to ideal old west town. One where you'd find the streets lined with gunmen long ago, now replaced with parking meters and coffee shops like Telluride or Park City- except- the people are all gone. This is a ghost town, one which has eroded away in the winds of the Eastern Sierras and has left a decayed peak into the Days of '49.
While efforts have been in place to restore and repair some buildings in this ghost town to help keep historical value, only 5% of the buildings still stand. This gives us only a glimpse of the bustling town that sat near the Nevada border on this site.
