Monterey, CA.

Monterey is a town on the Central Coast of California, also my own hometown. Growing up in the place, I've found it hard to figure out what to add to this page, slowly compiling different parts, and I finally think I finished to a point where I can start this collection, with the photographing of Cannery Row.

Sheet metal and brick bake in the sunlight upon Cannery Row, the heart of old Monterey. Sardine canning was the main profit-making for the region. Now, the American appetite has turned away from canned fish, and the street is boosted up by tourism. Ever since John Steinbeck wrote his novel, "Cannery Row", the street has been on the up.

Above Cannery Row lies the neighborhoods of Monterey. Where old houses are still lived in and loved, with that charm of all the different movements of architecture throughout the generations. From Hacienda to Victorian and onwards, it is a collage of beauty.
